Copper demand in north China waned with closures of more than 70 per cent of copper wire rod plants in Tianjin for the ongoing 13th National Games. 

SHANGHAI, Sept. 6 (SMM) – Copper demand in north China waned with closures of more than 70 per cent of copper wire rod plants in Tianjin for the ongoing 13th National Games. 

Supply, on the other hand, was also not sufficient due to transportation disruption. Hence, overall supply&demand was light, and spot prices stayed at lows.
